More iPod madness...

Ok, I wrote this totally cool post about iPod and how it's changed my life and then I went to post it and Blogspot deleted it! I could kill them right now.

Suffice to say, I don't have time to write another fabulous post right now, so I'll just post this and come back tomorrow and re-do it. (if I have time!)

That taught me a lesson! From now on...I'm savin' everything in Word first!

Ok..here's what I wrote...sort of.

I don't just LOVE iPod, I am officially addicted to it. It's like crack. I can't live or breathe without it. It's changed my life.

I'm not kidding.

I never noticed before how outside noise can make your day seem more stressful than it really is. Before, I was constantly annoyed by loud car honking, buzzing cellphones, construction noise, babies crying, people talking too loud…now, it’s all just one big nirvana.

I am trapped in a sound bubble of my own creation. Instead of all that din, I am dirged by the dulcet tones of Diana Krall or Dusty Springfield.

It’s changed my whole outlook and seriously lowered my stress lever by 1000!

My iPod has made me more creative too! You don’t believe me? Well, thanks to this little wonder device, I am now listening to about 4-5 hours of music a day…compared to maybe 1-2 hours a week before! That’s a big difference!

And my new found calmness has also made me able to think more creatively during my commutes to and from work and during work itself! (I’m listening to my iPod as I type this…)

Case in point…I’ve been rehearsing a jazz dance piece that I am presenting at the upcoming True To Form DC Choreographer’s showcase. Originally, I was just going to do a dance piece with 4 female dancers and 1 male, set to Kylie Minogue’s “Koocachoo”.

Well, ever since I’ve had my iPod and have been listening carefully to songs I hadn’t really heard that closely before, I’ve been inspired to create a 2nd piece, this one a solo (set on 1 female dancer, Ann Behrends-who is amazing!) to Cyndi Lauper’s recent cover of “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” from her lasted CD, At Last.

This would have never happened without my iPod.

Apple should just hire me to be their spokesperson…I am eternally grateful to them and to this little machine. It has changed my life!

I need help. I know it. I’ll start the therapy real soon.
